Winter Camp 2009 Recap

Central Valley Winter Camp 2009 was a blast. This years camp consisted of students from Bakersfield to Chowchilla. There were approximately 155 campers with a whole lot of first time attendees.

Day 1:
The camp started on Friday night with a powerful message from our camp speaker (Bro. Sargent) on "I can do all things" and was concluded with praise and worship. Immediately following the service there was 2 bonfires and lots of fellowship.

Day 2: Kicked off with breakfast and a morning session. Again, another powerful move of the HOLY GHOST and a message titled "You are not a mistake." There were many in the alters and seeking the LORD even after the service was over.

Following the service was lunch, followed by a few hours of recreation (volleyball, basketball, free time, nap time and football). Several brave souls took the challenge and hiked up the mountain to BEAR CAVE.

Day 2 was captivated by a life changing evening service. It was obvious by the start of the first song that the LORD was going to renew those that needed to be renewed and fill those that needed the HOLY GHOST. It was no more than 2 songs that the entire service erupted into PRAISE and WORSHIP. Several young people received the HOLY GHOST and endless were touched. Many youth groups and friends joined hands and began to pray one for another.

Immediately following the service were were entertained by Bro. Sargent. We learned about and experienced the "i-LIMB." I don't think anyone will ever be the SAME!! (http://theadventuresoftheilimb.wordpress.com/)

Day 3: Came by so fast. The last service of the camp was once again filled with awesome praise and worship. Bro. Sargent preached on "Pressing towards the mark." He emphasised finishing what you started. He challenged the group to keep on and remember the promise.

Highlights:5 received the baptism of the HOLY GHOST with the evidence of speaking in tongues
1 received a healing
155 people forever changed and impacted by a memorable CVWC
8 cases of rockstar energy drinks sold
and endless memories of GREAT friends, church, fellowship and a move of GOD!

Note:
Special thanks and appreciation to all those that attended. We look forward to seeing you in 2010.
